The AL-KO 38.4 E Combi Care is a 38 cm combined hedge trimmer and lawn aerator that is easy to manoeuvre. It is powered by a 1400W electric motor, which means you don't have to worry about changing the battery or filling up with fuel. It comes complete with a textile collector (50 L), a lawn aerator (38 cm) and a hedge trimmer roller (38 cm). Choose between collecting moss and grass clippings or leaving them lying around and raking them yourself. Using a handle, you can easily adjust the cutting height to suit your lawn (+6 mm to -14 mm). Check the height recommendation in the manual before use. By hedge trimming the lawn, you ensure that old grass clippings and moss disappear. The steel roller penetrates the lawn and makes it easier for oxygen and nutrients to reach the grass roots, resulting in stronger grass. With a stronger grass plant, you prevent the moss from growing stronger. It may also be a good idea to reseed after verticuting. Try changing direction and cutting diagonally or across the lawn for the best effect. Try verticuting in early spring and then, during the grass season, remove the moss with the aerator roller in the shady areas where it has grown heavily.
