Always rinse out the syringe whenever it contains water. Use normal water, such as body temperature. Never use cold water. The child can sit down and place a small basin under the ear to catch the running water. The head can be tilted slightly toward the ear to be cleaned. Gently pull the ear back and down to expose the ear canal. The tip of the syringe should be slightly upwards toward the side of the ear canal, not straight back toward the eardrum. Make sure the tip of the syringe does not touch the ear canal or the ear. Gently squeeze the contents out to the side of the ear canal. Never force the syringe. Note: When cleaning the ear canal, the tip of the syringe should not obstruct the flow of water out of the ear canal. Rinse the syringe thoroughly with normal water. Shake off excess water and let air dry. How to use the nasal aspirator: Squeeze the bulb to expel air. Insert the nasal tip into one of your baby's nostrils. Apply pressure to the bulb (do not apply pressure all at once). As the bulb expands, mucus is forced into the end of the nasal passage. Rinse the tip and bulb with water. Clean the other nostril in the same way. Remove the tip from the bulb. Wash the parts thoroughly with warm, soapy water. Note: Using anything other than regular soap water may damage the product.
